This fly has not been found on Grand Island yet.
USDA representatives are going around town setting traps for this invasive bug. They may be knocking on your door or seen in your neighborhood asking permission to set traps.
To verify that the USDA is in your area, please feel free to call 800-249-2363. Also, they should be in USDA shirts and be able to show valid government ID.
Again, this Cherry Fruit Fly has not been detected on Grand Island yet.
